I'm a little bothered that the cabbie took you into Manhattan and to Broadway and Chambers of all places. BUT, what a gem and find Billy and Tiffany were! Pisillo's was a great suggestion. Their location in Midtown is also fantastic and delicious. You could kill someone with their sandwich sizes. This week's edition might be one of my favorites.
This is THE GREATEST adventure I think I've ever read, and your openness is real deal inspiring! And as if that wasn't enough, you offered the perfect advice for this stage of my life: "'Don't push, don't pull.' If it's meant to be, it will happen gently." (!!!!) Thank you, Anne!
If you still feel adventurous, or is it adventuress, and want to roll the dice again after your outing I suggest the Criminal Courts Building at 100 Centre Street and night court in particular. My wife and I went there on our unconventional first date (or maybe it was a second date) and we’re still married thirty-seven years later!
I loved all of this! It makes me want to do an LA adventure, although hailing a taxi might be tricky. Also, I gotta say, Billy and Tiffany look like they're in love. Maybe it's the photo, or the lighting, but I don't think so. I hear wedding bells. My one request: if they do get hitched, we need Cafe Anne coverage!
Just the best! I was right there adventuring with you and the wonderful peeps—a hitchhiker from Florida who once lived behind the Planetarium on W. 80th!
A newsletter from Cafe Anne is like a little gift that will make you smile and feel better about people and the world. It's always such a joy to read.
Anne,
Your willingness to be open to people & vulnerable to chance made this adventure a pure delight.
You make our Monday mornings bright. Thank you!

I love these adventures so much
I can just feel the life zinging through your veins on this adventure. Glad to be along for the ride!

I’m definitely checking out the Dream House! When you are ready for your next adventure hit me and Tiffany up! We are ready to explore the world!
It felt like I was along with this adventure as I read it! What a treat.

Wow. I loved every word!
Anne, this has to be one of your very best yet. I laughed my way through the entire thing.
One of the most nostalgic Cafe Annes ever. Most of this could've happened in the 20th century, a little corner of the city stuck in amber.
There's a Pisillo in midtown too! I went to theflatiron shop when it was there. Shame about Juve though.
