This is my very first comment. 🙃 This is also my barber and friend.💪🏾 Thank you for showcasing his humanity AND his "shit". He truly helps to bring balance to the world. One love.
Damn Anne I didn't expect to be teary eyed on a Monday morning! This was such an amazing story and a great reminder that amidst all of the shit in the world there are folks out there doing good stuff.
Me too, Eden, there's just something about Greg giving away endlessly because love is like a candle -- you can light so many and your light is never dimmed!
Inspirational is an understatement. So much about Greg’s philosophy has really made me think. I’m grateful to learn that there are people like him in the world. It’s no accident that you found him and was able to share his story. Thank you, Anne! PS: love the bench plaques! The city better not remove them!
Fabulous story! Thank you! And I just about lost my shit when you posted my comment about the trapezoid muscle!!!! I’ve never felt so famous 🥰 Thanks for not being offended at my snark. Anne, you are a true gem.
I met Greg in 2018 as a referral from a coworker and I haven’t looked back. His cuts aren’t just great, they’re magic. Time with him is therapy. Thank you for sharing his story and letting the world know what those of us who know and love him already do, and that’s how amazing he is!
This is a beautiful article. Greg is authentic, down to earth, an a amazing person and we need more people like him in this world! He has cut me and my son's hair for the last year,Greg is a blessing ❤️
Stuffed Potato Crisps served with a thimble of non-alcoholic Champagne and a dollop of whipped cream. Peanut butter /shrimp option. Plus a free paper plate. 🐰
So glad I don't keep a list. It makes it much easier to say this is my new favorite story of yours. Inspirational mixed in with the journey of everyday life.
Thankyou all for the beautiful feedback. Its really encouraging. And thankyou Anne for sharing my story and most of all my message... or should I say my reminder of what we all already know deep inside. You are truly a great person and journalist. Much love, strength and respect to you and all of your endeavors 🙏🏾

Oh it's great to hear from a friend of Greg's, R.L. And I love the idea that he is bringing balance. Yes.
What an absolutely lovely story that we very much need to hear in 2025.
Thank you Michael! It's for sure my favorite so far this year!

Oh, Greg's story is the BEST, Ann, thank you so much for bringing it to us with so much wonderful and vivid detail!! This was my favorite part:
"Do you feel you're happier than most people?" I asked.
"No," he said. "I'm just as miserable as any other motherfucker."
Keepin it real!! So, so good!
Haha. That was one of my favorite of the many favorite things he said, Bella!

Thanks Laura! And haha I actually took down the plaques right after I shot them. It was starting to rain and I knew it'd just be a mess.

I laughed and laughed when realized my error, Elise. Such a funny mistake!
And glad you enjoyed Greg's story!
OK now for the main event. A fantastic story this week. I am with Eden 100%. Another must for ‘The Cafe Anne Bedside Companion’ come the day. 🐰
Haha that's right!!
Love Greg's story! Thank you for sharing it with us, Anne! Your articles give me another reason to like Mondays🤩
Now I must know all the other reasons, Miss Honey!
Ha-ha! I was just trying to sound positive and encouraging about Mondays... I prefer Saturdays :)

So interesting to get a take from a long-time client of Greg's, Sasha. Thanks for your kind words!

I agree Tiffany, we need more Gregs in this world. I'm that can start with me.
Very cool to hear from a client of his, btw. Thanks for commenting!

Love the zero-alcohol Champagne idea, OLO!
We cheat and drink NA Spanish Cava. It’s cheaper and, if my nose is any measure, has more bubbles.🐰
Man, I love your stories! The whole world needs them right now.
Awww thank you Iona. That means a lot!

Yes I think that's what makes it a favorite of mine too, Mr. Dolan. If Greg can live a life like this so could any of us.
Every time you refer to me as Mr. Dolan I feel just a little bit older :)
(OMG I didn't expect you to follow through with the bench dedication!)
What a lovely interview and story to read on a Monday <3
Oh no! I misspelled your name! Will fix in the web version.
Bench dedications were a of fun, btw. Hoping to dedicate a lot more!
So many uplifting stories, thank you Anne!
Glad you enjoyed, Sharon!
