Your name on this seat for a modest donation
The park bench business is a real racket! Wow!
People!
you are the coolest. Bustelo will be yours
Ha hope you're right thank you! My review of Bustelo's weird Instant Cafe Con Leche coming soon in a future issue!
A park with a public bathroom?! That is GOLD, put the bench right in there. Heck, start making toilets you can dedicate.
Remember Howard Stern had that NJ rest stop named after him? He was so proud. But a single toilet is a more simple, elegant statement. Great idea.
Ha, I didn't know that!
Hopefully, a tagger will not put his/her name on the bench for the mere cost of the paint.
So funny—I was just noticing someone had tagged a bunch of benches in Brooklyn Bridge Park with their TikTok handle. I'll take a photo for the next issue if I can find it again. Not that I should be encouraging this...
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite newsletters! Also, I miss NYC.
Thank you Michael! NYC misses you :)
How about transit bench dedications. Plenty of bus stops without seats. Leave something for the poor and elderly.
What a great idea Len! I am in favor of more benches everywhere, really. I call the B63!
I can't wait to look for your bench!!! (But, in like four months when it's hospitable outside again!)
Just a chair I'm afraid. We can take turns sitting on it.
Those Bryant Park chairs have saved my tired tourist legs on multiple occasions!
